Sam grew up just outside  Memphis, where he fell in love with Blues Music as a teenager while teaching himself to play guitar. Work brought Sam to Oklahoma a few years ago, and one Monday night he happened to stop by a local craft beer house where they have  standing Irish and Bluegrass jams during the week.  After a few more times back to the jams to listen.   Sam bought a Mandolin, and the transition from Blues to Bluegrass was immediate.
